Rose McKinney - APR, Fellow PRSA
Founder & CEO

Rose believes in the power and potential of brand and reputation. A recognized leader in the national public relations community, she has generated results that matter for hundreds of organizations from entrepreneurial startups to international conglomerates to vital non-profit groups. Clients aren’t the only ones who love to learn from Rose - she’s a natural teacher and has been an adjunct professor at Metropolitan State University since 2005.

Cassie Roman
Senior Account Executive

For Cassie, it’s all about the adventure. Weekends find her rock climbing. Weekdays find her rocking client service, media relations, copywriting and generating results that matter. An advertising major at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, Cassie discovered she preferred public relations. She joined Pineapple in 2014 and is an active member of Minnesota PRSA.

Margaret Ann Hennen - APR, Fellow PRSA
Senior Communications Consultant

Margaret Ann offers a combination of fresh insights and best practices to Fortune 500 and nonprofits alike. She’s served in key communications roles for Fortis, Fairview, American Public Media, the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation and more. An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, Margaret Ann is a member of its prestigious College of Fellows, and has served the industry nationally and locally – most recently as ethics officer for the Minnesota chapter.

Haley Fleisner
Intern

Haley connected with the Pineapple RM team at the 2019 PR North Conference and instinctively demonstrated “polite persistence” to be one of two summer interns. It has paid off for the agency and for clients as she learned about media relations and shared her writing, graphic design and photography skills. An incoming junior at North Dakota State University, Haley plans to graduate with a degree in strategic communication and minor in visual arts. She is excited to continue her internship remotely from Fargo in fall 2019 and to serve as secretary of her PRSSA Chapter.

The Pineapple team collaborates with clients, often serving as an extension of their internal teams and working with their advertising and web agencies. We are nimble and are always on the go – a combination of office time, working as a team as well as independently, and working on-site at clients’ offices.   • Work on a variety of client programs within several different industries

  • Lead face-to-face client meetings providing counsel through conversation and written recommendations; recap activities and showcase progress

  • Create communications plans to generate Results that Matter for Pineapple clients

  • Write every day: Brand-centric as well as journalistic copy for news releases, advisories, features, newsletters, blogs, social media, award entries, executive bios, boilerplates, web content, etc.

  • Develop PESO content calendars and contribute content across platforms

  • Consume, pitch, monitor and analyze earned media: Local, trade and national – print, broadcast and digital

  • Prepare talking points and coach subject-matter experts for interviews

  • Participate in Brand Strategy including stakeholder interviews with clients’ employees and customers, develop creative briefs and key messaging, positioning statements, brand promises, tag lines

  • Conduct audits including media, communications and competitive SOV

  • Serve as the point person for work with our graphic designer, photographers, printers, wire distribution companies, etc.

  • Represent Pineapple in the community at events, professional development activities
